Katie McGrath Cast as ‘Lena Luthor’ on ‘Supergirl’!
We reported earlier this year that Lex Luthor’s sister, ‘Lena Luthor‘ would be joining the cast of Supergirl for Season 2. Today we have learned that actress ‘Katie McGrath‘ has been cast to fill the role. Katie McGrath is best known for her role as Morgana on the TV Series, ‘Merlin’. Lena Luthor is the sister of Lex Luthor and daughter of Lionel Luthor. In the Silver Age her family is shown to have changed their names out of shame, making her Lena Thorul. Her brother moves out of Smallville at a young age and leaves her as an invalid to raise her daughter Lori Luthor. Lex later has a daughter with the Contessa and names her Lena after his sister. This daughter is possessed by Brainiac 13 during Our Worlds at War. Lena Luthor was created by Jerry Siegel and Kurt Schaffenberger, first appearing in Superman’s Girlfriend, Lois Lane #23. (1961)
